Sold - Mickeys - Exmouth

Leading licensed and leisure property agents Bettesworths are delighted to confirm the completion of the lease assignment at Mickeys in Exmouth, on behalf of client and renowned West Country chef, Michael Caines MBE.

Matt Bettesworth and Steve Doble of Bettesworths were instructed on an off market/confidential basis in July this year to find a buyer for the leasehold interest at Mickeys on the seafront at Exmouth. It was important for operational reasons that the deal was to be kept under the radar which Bettesworth successfully managed, securing a sale to Swim, a well known and successful hospitality group based in Lyme Regis. 

Matt and Steve used their knowledge of hospitality operators actively seeking to acquire new sites and worked closely with Michael and his team to identify possible purchasers for this impressive property and business.

Mickeys is a prominent, purpose built restaurant, bar and café situated in a first class location on Exmouth seafront with 180 degree sea views over the Jurassic Coast and Lyme Bay. Michael and his team have worked hard over the last few years to create a strong business and offering, making the most of this stunning position, right on the beach.

Swim also currently operate a very successful seafront restaurant and bar on the promenade at Lyme Regis. The Directors of the company having decades of experience in the hospitality industry and see Exmouth as a growth area.
