Bettesworths Announces the Sale of King William IV Pub in Teignmouth to East Street Pub Company

South West-based hospitality agents, Bettesworths is pleased to announce the successful sale of the King William IV pub in Teignmouth to the expanding East Street Pub Company. This marks the group’s ninth acquisition, further solidifying its presence in the regions pub industry.

The King William IV, affectionately known as “The King Bill,” has long been a cherished part of Teignmouth's community. Its new ownership under the East Street Pub Co promises to preserve the pub’s character while enhancing it to better serve locals and visitors. Founded by hospitality entrepreneur Steve Narvidge, East Street Pub Company is known for restoring traditional pubs while introducing modern amenities. The group’s focus on providing quality offerings has seen its venues flourish, becoming the leading pub group in the South Devon area.

The freehold pub was sold off an asking price of £495,000. The East Street Pub Company has announced a temporary closure of the King William IV in early 2025 to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment.
