Bettesworths Celebrate Multi Awards in the EGI Property Market Transactions

Bettesworths are celebrating more award success this month, having been recognised as the most active agent in Devon, in terms of commercial space and deals completed in 2024.

The industry journal, The Estates Gazette, compiles data of all commercial property market transactions annually.

In 2024, Bettesworths topped the rankings, seeing off competition from national and multi-national competitors such as JLL, Christie & Co, CBRE & Savills.

Bettesworths were also recognised as the 2nd most active agent in the whole South West region, completing more deals in 2024 than a number of multi-office agencies.

George Helmore was named as the most active dealmaker in both Devon and the Southwest, being the individual to have personally completed the most property transactions within these areas in 2024.

George reflected on his experience of last year and said ‘2024 was an interesting year, another post-pandemic year, where the market starts to reestablish itself and then we are hit with numerous further confidence shaking events. Rising living costs, fluctuating interest rates, a general election and highly debated budgets have all contributed to a rather uncertain year. However, our ability at Bettesworths to see through fluctuations and provide the best advice to our clients has enabled us to perform in 2024 the way we have.’
